CDF Student Username Lookup
This searches the current list of CDF students for a student's name
and will return an account name.
Your initial password is your student number. You must change this
during your first login session. You will not be able to submit work
electronically until your password has changed.
During terms when the owner is not
taking a course the account will be suspended. Your password
is not changed or reset, nor are files deleted when the account is
suspended, you just do not have access to the system.
Usernames are of the form is 'cNllllll' or 'gNllllll' where:
- 'c' indicates a course account, and 'g' indicates a program account
- 'N' is a numeral indicating the year when the account was created,
eg 3 in 2003, 4 in 2004 etc.
- 'llllll' is replaced by the first six letters on your student card
(your last name, possibly followed by letters from your first name).
Eg. In September 2002 new student John Doe (whose card reads
Doe, John) will receive c2doejoh If there was a second
John Doe, his username would be c2doejoi, the next one
c2doejoj and so on. In January 2003 Jane Doe will get
c3doejan.
